Password: Little Metal House

I kept hearing Ashlyn and Noah shouting, "Little Metal House," until I figured out it was the password to enter their room. Ashlyn has a sign on the door that says, " Do Not Go!" and you may not enter unless you know the password. I think it is so funny I have no idea how they came up with it. Shhhh ... don't tell!

A good one, I thought, in light of all our financial/political mess right now ....

A red headed mermaid, guess who?

And a Love Bug, who turned out to be ...
an antisocial grouch bug who slept the whole time :)

Since we do not celebrate "Halloween" (it has become yucky and evil) we decided to provide an alternative for the kids to dress up by having a harvest party. We chose instead to celebrate God's abundant gifts to us with praise and thanksgiving.

Anyway, it turned out to be a pretty fun time; we had lunch and a craft and everyone pitched in on the cost of a bounce house. The kids had so much fun dressing up and I am tickled about getting a real great deal on their costumes and not having to spend much money :)



Also, I thought I would showcase my first attempt at cute cupcakes since cake making has become sort of a hobby. I am so tired of going to the store and them not making what I envision. They were so good. We have 8 extra (not too shabby since I made 42) and I desperately need to get rid of them before they all end up in my tummy!

Oh, and Tummy walks now ... poor 3rd child I have been so lax on chronicling her life!
