Ears Pierced :)

Autumn had her ears pierced today. It is a sort of tradition with Auntie Noelle. Noelle was there for Ashy's ears and now for Baby Autumn. We had a hard time finding a place to do it though. Yesterday we dragged 8 kids into the mall only to be told we could not do it without a vaccination record. One lady tried to get in an argument with me about how I should have my kids vaccinated. It was really irritating. So we tried again today at Wal-Mart. They did it with no problem. I was beginning to worry that I would have to take Autumn to a tattoo parlor :)

We picked the cutest little flower earrings for her. They have a lot more selection these days as well. Another intelligent thing they did was pierce both her ears at the same time. Autumn did really well. She let out a huge scream and then calmed her self almost immediately. By the time I went to feed her she was over it. Yay!

Another thing we did today that was go to our Church's Home School Co-op. It was very fun!The theme for today was England. So, Ashy baked some scones and had them with tea. They painted English style paintings and we even got to learn how to do English country dancing like they do in "Pride and Prejudice" (an excellent movie by the way). It was surprisingly easy to do even for someone with two left feet like me! Autumn was content to sleep in the snugly while I danced with my nephew Jacob.

I also spent some time in the nursery with Noah. He is a true ham. He was really entertained by the Legos and spent a very long time building "Huge, Tall, T-Rex Dinosaur Castles" (Noah is very into dinosaurs lately). So, all you Calvary Home Schoolers I highly recommend getting involved, it was great :)

Well, short post for today. We have Noelle and the kids over while Shay is away on business. So, with 8 kids around the house it gets kinda crazy!

Ha ... Like I Have Time to Post!

They say a picture is worth a 1,000 words, right? That is good because a few pictures is about all I have time for right now! Here are the basics:

  • Autumn is holding her head up quite well now.
  • She has a goofy smile she'll give if you catch her in a good mood.
  • She has real tears when she cries now ... so sad!
  • She is sick (we both are): cough, sneezes, runny nose. We have a doc appointment tomorrow.
  • Noah started going around saying "Oh My Gosh!" It is cute. He is real emphatic about it.
  • Happy belated birthday to my Mom!
  • That is about it ...

Autumn in her new bouncy seat, courtesy of Aunt Linda. The only way I get to cook :)

Noah showing his teeth.

Autumn's new napping buddy. The only way I get bible study and e-mails done :)

Autumn's very goofy smile. She sticks her tongue out at you too.

Sleeping Angel ... notice she is not on anyone. This doesn't happen often.
