So, it really has been a while since we have posted. A lot going on is an understatement around here! Anyway, we celebrated Ashlyn's 6th birthday last month. That was our big highlight for March. Boy was it a crazy weekend too!
We started out having our house painted during the week. As if things were not stressful enough, we had scheduled the entire weekend with no room for errors, the painters started one day late. It was finished up by Thursday however and I was able to get the house back together fairly quickly. It is really nice to have the living room all textured and painted too. What took them 2 1/2 days to complete would have taken me over 2 1/2 months! Not to mention I have a real mental block when it comes to actually finishing projects. 
Then I had stamp club on Friday night since it was my month to host. Unfortunately since we were having company I was unable to have it at my house, which I had been looking forward to so everyone could see the progress from the previous year, I had it at a friend's house which was really crazy for me but it turned out nice and we had a really pretty scrapbook layout which was fun. Saturday morning was the big event. I cannot believe Ashlyn is 6 years old already! Time truly does fly ... Ashlyn's birthday this year turned out to be on the day of her birthday which Jace thoroughly enjoyed. He likes to complain about her having a 2 week birthday since her party is usually a while after her real birthday.
Anyway, somehow I let Ashlyn talk me into having her party here at the house. I do not know what I was thinking or if there was any thinking involved. My house is in no condition to have children all over. Most of you are acquainted with the fixer-upper status of my home :) I was so stressed about it, we had 16 boys, 12 girls and 19 adults RSVP. If it had rained I would have gone nuts. Thankfully, God knew I could not handle that and provided us with a beautiful spring day (and some helpful friends). We had a princess dress up party with a princess bounce house in the back yard and "Ariel" (who happens to be our cousin) even showed up to play with the girls and host the games. The best part by far was the princess scavenger hunt where we had a dozen little princess in full garb running through the house looking for clues. All in all I thought it was a great party and most importantly Ashy was very happy :) By the way if anyone needs to plan a princess birthday and needs supplies and ideas just let me know ...
Lastly, we ended the weekend having Autumn dedicated at church since all our family was in town. I was very worried that she might cry when Pastor Rick held her but she did great. She was happy and looked just beautiful in the big pink dress Gramma Sharon gave her. Autumn is doing wonderful and growing so fast but that is another post. After the dedication we ended with Razzoo's, one of my most favorite restaurants, with a party of 20. 1/2 of which were kids. The kids did awesome but we did have a few glances from curious onlookers :)More later ...
